Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

Our ministry provides Pastoral Care to Catholics who are sick and shut-in at 13 different senior centres and extended care centres and two private homes. The volunteers provide lay liturgy prayer services and Holy Communion to Catholics who cannot attend the Holy Mass. We also provide individual room visits to those who cannot attend the liturgy service. Volunteers also visit private homes to do a short prayer service and administer Holy Communion.
Meetings: Once a week for approximately one hour.

Grief as a Journey (Our Walk to Emmaus)

This is a grief support program created and sponsored by the Archdiocese that is designed to help those who are grieving the death of a loved one. We all grieve differently but by meeting together in a spirit of friendship and seeking healing from the Lord we will learn and support each other in these difficult times.
Meetings: Two nine-week sessions, one in the fall and one in the spring. Usually at the church on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm. Materials are supplied by the parish.
