Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) for Inquirers

RCIA is the ministry responsible for accompanying and initiating those wishing to be in full communion with the Catholic Church.
Commitment Level: Inquirers (those wishing to be in full communion with the Catholic Church) attend sessions Tuesday evenings and Sunday mass weekly.
 

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) – Volunteers

RCIA is the ministry responsible for accompanying and initiating those wishing to be in full communion with the Catholic Church. There are a variety of roles for RCIA volunteers such as sponsor, catechist and dismissal minister. Please talk to Fr. Mark or another RCIA volunteer to learn more about each of these roles.
Commitment Level: Volunteer roles vary in time commitment depending on availability and need.
Training: Little to no training is required.
 

Baptism Volunteers

Volunteers help during Baptism ceremonies of infants and children under the age of 7, assist with administration work such as data entry for registration record keeping or photo posting. Volunteers with a catechesis background may also help with preparation classes.

For helping with Baptisms: 1-3 pm on a Sunday of your choice from our schedule. We usually offer baptisms twice per month. 
For helping with data entry: Any hours are welcome from Tuesday to Friday between 9:30am and 4pm. Flexible scheduled and task-based.
Training: A one-hour orientation. New volunteers shadow experienced Baptism volunteers to begin. Volunteers work as a team and not alone. Less than a half hour of training is needed for administration.
 

First Reconciliation Volunteers

Assist Ministry Coordinator in a variety of roles, such as facilitate with registration, sacramental preparation lessons and on the day that children receive their First Reconciliation.
Assist as you are able at any or all of the following:

Parent Meetings:

– September 21, 2022: 6:00-7:30 pm

– January 18, 2023: 6:00-7:30 pm

Sacramental Preparation for Children:

– October 11, 12, 13, 2022: 4:30-5:45 pm

– February 7, 8, 9, 2023: 4:30-5:45 pm

First Reconciliation:

– October 23, 2022: 2:00-4:00 pm

– February 26, 2023: 2:00-4:00 pm
 

First Eucharist Volunteers

Assist Ministry Coordinator in a variety of roles, such as facilitate with registration, sacramental preparation lessons and on the day that children receive their First Eucharist.

Assist as you are able at any or all of the following:

Parent Meetings:

– September 21, 2022: 6:00-7:30 pm

– January 18, 2023: 6:00-7:30 pm

Sacramental Preparation for Children:

– November 1, 2, 3, 2022: 4:30-5:45 pm

– March 21, 22, 23, 2023: 4:30-5:45 pm

First Eucharist Mass:

– November 19, 2022 at 5:00 pm

– November 20, 2022 at 12:00 pm

– April 15, 2023 at 5:00 pm

– April 16, 2023 at 12:00 pm
 

Confirmation Volunteers

Assist Ministry Coordinator in a variety of roles, such as facilitate with registration, sacramental preparation lessons and on the day that youth celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Assist as you are able at any or all of the following:

Parent Meetings:

– October 4, 2022: 6:00-7:30 pm

Sacramental Preparation for Youth:

– 12 sessions on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

(Oct. 22, Nov. 5 and 19, Dec. 3 and 17, Jan. 14 and 28, Feb. 11 and 25, Mar. 11 and 18, Apr. 22)

Confirmation Mass:

– April 30 at 2:00 pm

– April 30 at 5:00 pm
 

Children’s Liturgy Leader

Children’s Liturgy volunteers lead children through prayer and activities during mass. Lesson plans and activity sheets are prepared and ready for volunteers. Children Liturgy leaders are always paired with a partner. 
Commitment Level: Once a month during your preferred weekend mass.
Training: New volunteers are paired with experienced leaders for training and mentorship.
