Community Outreach / Social Justice

Ladies’ Auxiliary

Formed in 1978, the Ladies’ Auxiliary makes tied and hand stitched baby quilts. The main project is the making of quilts, but some ladies knit, crotchet or sew other projects. The quilts and other items are donated to WINGS for mothers and their children. Donations are also made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in their ministry to our needy neighbors.
No experience necessary. Experienced quilters will help newcomers.
Commitment Level: The Ladies’ Auxiliary meets Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 in the choir room. “Drop-ins” are welcome although the group functions best when members attend regularly.

St. Vincent de Paul Divine Mercy Conference

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization whose mission is to live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy.  As Vincentians, we: see Christ in anyone who suffers, come together as a family, have personal contact with the poor, and help in all possible ways.

We have various roles for volunteers and are currently in particular need of:
● Needs coordinators who return calls and receive the initial contact details.
● Telephone/Home Visitors who speak to those in need.
● Those who can assist with deliveries.
Commitment Level:

Commitment level can vary based on availability of the volunteer. Monthly meetings the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm.Training: Training and mentorship are provided by experienced volunteers.
